LA D​É​ESSE botanical cleansing bar is the ideal Face and Body gentle cleanser for a skin reset and detox. While Ayurvedic Manjistha (Indian Madder) brings skin-softening and detoxifying properties, Raw Honey works as a humectant to nourish dehydrated skin.

LA D​É​ESSE artisanal botanical soap combines the seductive floral top note of Egyptian Geranium anchored by the sharp herbal scent of Camphor to evoke Nature’s fine balance between the Apollonian and the Dionysian. 

 Made in the South of France, our botanical cleansing bars are super-fatted to deposit nourishing plant lipids onto the surface of the skin. Our soaps are fabricated by hand using ancestral cold process methods and are cured for over 6 weeks to obtain the optimal gentle creamy lather.

RAW HONEY

Honey has been traditionally used as a powerful wound-healing agent across many different cultures due to its antimicrobial properties. Its antifungal abilities make it a perfect ingredient in combating face and body acne. It is also a powerful natural humectant, drawing moisture from the air to provide the skin with a boost of hydration.

INDIAN MADDER (MANJISTHA)

Manjistha in Sanskrit means “bright red”. Considered an extremely important herb in Ayurveda, Manjistha has been traditionally known to have purifying and detoxifying abilities and is effective against the acne causing bacteria. Additionally, used topically, Indian Madder aids in reducing hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme that controls melanin production.

    Can’t say enough great things about these soaps!

    I have tried all 4 soaps thinking there would be a clear winner for repurchasing but they are all so good I can’t decide on just one! I also love that for travel, it is so convenient to have a bar instead of another liquid bottle to pack. Lately I’ve been using La deesse for face and botaniste for body. Neither leaves my skin feeling tight or dry yet feels thoroughly clean. I really love this brand and will continue purchasing from the US because they really are the best soaps ever! My skin not only feels healthier it seems visibly brighter.

    Great discovery, best soap ever

    I am so happy to have discovered this soap. Since using this soap, I feel that my skin has been clearer and more even-toned. The scent is herbal and slightly sweet and floral but not too overwhelming.

    Gamechanger

    I had never heard of orris until I heard a recommendation online. I wish more people know about this brand because I bought La Deesse and OMG this is best body soap I have ever used. It has a luxurious lather and my skin has never felt so soft. It is also very hydrating. The smell this soap emits both in the shower and on my body afterwards is divine. I look forward to trying the rest of the soaps!
